Denim and Hollywood enthusiasts alike are all familiar with the story of a beleaguered Bing Crosby and friend, upon entering a Vancouver hotel after a hunting trip, being turned away because of their denimed attire, only before an attendant recognized the great crooner and made an exception. As a result Levi Strauss made a satin lined one-off “Canadian Tuxedo” with a florette of red tags which bore a patch guaranteeing Bing that the faux pas would not be repeated. For Spring/Summer 2014, LVC has announced that a 200 piece limited run would resurrect the iconic tuxedo, with pants to match. Only time will tell on the price but no doubt it will be spectacular like the jacket itself. Want.
